Reverb
Reverb (short for reverberation) is an audio effect that simulates the natural reflections of sound within a space (room, hall, cathedral, etc.). When a sound is produced, it bounces off surrounding surfaces and returns to our ears as scattered, decaying echoes, creating a sense of space, depth, and atmosphere. In music production, reverb is used to place a sound in a virtual environment, glue elements together, or add aesthetic effects. Common types include hall, room, plate, spring, and convolution reverb.
