Comping
Comping (short for composite take) is an editing technique used to select the best parts from multiple takes of a recording to create a final, polished version. Commonly used for vocals, solo instruments, or complex performances, comping helps you get the best possible result while keeping a natural feel. Most modern DAWs offer comping tools with take lanes, quick selection, and automatic crossfades for seamless editing.
