Oversampling
Oversampling is a technique where an audio signal is processed at a higher sample rate than the project’s base rate—often 2x, 4x, 8x, or more. This helps reduce digital artifacts like aliasing, especially when using distortion, saturation, or fast modulation effects. After processing, the signal is downsampled back to the original rate. Oversampling improves audio quality, but it can increase CPU load.
