Equalizer [EQ]
An equalizer (EQ) is a tool used to adjust the level (gain) of specific frequency ranges in a sound. It can reduce or boost bass, mids, or highs to correct, shape, or enhance an audio signal. There are various types of EQs: graphic, parametric, shelving, and semi-parametric, each offering different levels of control. EQ is essential in mixing for clarifying sounds, eliminating frequency clashes, or highlighting key elements.
