Multi-sampled

A multi-sampled instrument is a virtual instrument or preset built from multiple recorded samples captured at different pitches, dynamics, or articulations. Unlike a single sample stretched across the keyboard, each note (or group of notes) has its own recording, resulting in more realism and expressiveness. This approach is commonly used in professional sound libraries for pianos, drums, strings, brass, and other acoustic instruments.
