Frequency

Frequency refers to the number of sound vibrations per second, measured in hertz (Hz). The higher the frequency, the higher the pitch; the lower the frequency, the deeper the sound. The human ear generally hears frequencies between 20 Hz and 20,000 Hz. In music production, understanding frequencies helps with EQing, filtering, and mixing sounds so they complement each other instead of clashing.
